Your examiner reviews health history, medications, prior diagnoses, and information relevant to safe commercial driving. The FMCSA provides federal guidance for these examinations.
The visit may include vision and hearing assessment, blood pressure and pulse, urinalysis, and a physical examination. If a separate concern requires treatment, EZMED's Urgent Care and other medical services may provide additional care when appropriate.
If the examiner determines that applicable standards are met, a Medical Examiner's Certificate may be issued. Interstate examinations must be performed by an examiner listed on the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.

How long can a DOT medical certificate be valid?
FMCSA states that certification may be valid for up to 24 months, although a shorter period may be issued when closer monitoring is appropriate.
