Not necessarily. The tests that are appropriate for one person may not be appropriate for another. Primary care clinicians select screening and diagnostic tests based on factors such as age, medical history, symptoms, medications, family history, and prior results. A lipid panel measures cholesterol and triglycerides and can help clinicians assess cardiovascular risk. How often it should be checked depends on your age, risk profile, previous results and treatment history.
Blood glucose or A1C testing may be appropriate for certain adults based on age and risk factors. Your clinician can determine whether screening is indicated and how frequently it should be repeated.
Depending on the clinical situation, a provider may order a complete blood count, metabolic testing, thyroid testing, kidney or liver tests, or other studies. These are not automatically necessary for every healthy adult every year.

Should I ask for every possible blood test?
Usually not. Testing is most useful when it is selected for a specific screening or clinical reason.
Do I need to fast before annual blood work?
It depends on the tests ordered. Ask the office for instructions before your appointment or blood draw.
Can EZMED perform lab testing?
