EZMED lists medication questions, selected refills, treatment follow-ups and lab-result reviews among concerns that may be appropriate for Telehealth. HHS also identifies medication management and review of lab or imaging results as common telehealth uses. Whether a virtual follow-up is appropriate depends on the patient's condition and the provider's clinical judgment.
Recurring medication management and chronic-condition monitoring may be better handled through an ongoing relationship with EZMED Primary Care. Telehealth can support continuity, but some follow-ups still require vital signs, laboratory testing, or a physical examination.
EZMED provides virtual care for eligible Maryland patients with many common non-emergency concerns. Patients who need a hands-on examination, testing or procedures can be directed to EZMED Urgent Care in Timonium. Learn more about EZMED Telehealth and current scheduling options.

Can every medical problem be treated by telehealth?
No. The provider determines whether a virtual visit is clinically appropriate. Some symptoms require an in-person examination, testing, procedures, or emergency care.
What do I need for a video visit?
Use a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a reliable internet connection, camera and microphone. Choose a private, well-lit location and have your medication list and symptom history ready.
Can a telehealth visit lead to a prescription?
A provider may prescribe medication when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. A telehealth appointment does not guarantee a prescription, antibiotic, controlled medication, or refill.
Where must I be for EZMED telehealth?
EZMED's statewide virtual-care information is intended for eligible patients physically located in Maryland at the time of the visit.
